Bio-printed brain tissues with perfused and dynamic vasculatures

The brain vasculature plays a significant role in various conditions, including stroke, Alzheimer鈥檚, Parkinson鈥檚 disease. However, there are currently no methods for accurately replicating and studying human brain vasculature in the laboratory. In this project, we will address this need by combining 3D bioprinting and stem cells. Our aim is to create models of vascularized brain tissue that can be applied to uncover and ultimately treat debilitating disease like dementia.
